Privacy Policy

Kanpix (Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India) operates EEvento and is the data fiduciary for your account data. When you book a ticket, the Organizer of that event also receives the attendee details needed to run it, and is responsible for how they use them.

• Account details: name, phone number, email, city, and a securely hashed password (if you set one).
• Bookings: events, ticket types, attendee names and contact details you enter, answers to the Organizer's questions, order and refund history.
• Payments: payment status and references from our payment partner. We do not store card numbers, CVV or UPI PINs.
• Check-ins: when and at which gate a ticket was scanned.
• Device and usage: IP address, device type, app version, pages viewed and crash logs, used for security and to improve the Platform.
• Messages you send to our support team.

• To create your account and log you in (including one-time codes by SMS).
• To process bookings and payments, deliver tickets and check you in.
• To send booking confirmations, reminders, event changes, cancellations and refund updates.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, and to keep the Platform secure.
• To show events near you and improve recommendations.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We send promotional messages only if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time.

• The Organizer of an event you book: attendee name, phone, email and your answers to their questions. Organizers may not use this data for unrelated marketing.
• Service providers who process data for us: payment processing (Razorpay), SMS and OTP delivery (Twilio), email delivery, cloud hosting and database providers. They act on our instructions.
• Authorities, when required by law or to protect someone's safety.

We never sell your personal data.

We keep your account data while your account is active. When you delete your account we erase or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as payment and tax records, usually up to 8 years).

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:

• access a summary of the personal data we hold about you;
• correct or update it (most details are editable in Settings);
• erase it by deleting your account from Settings;
• withdraw consent for optional processing, such as marketing;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf;
• raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, sensitive keys are encrypted at rest, and access is limited to staff who need it. QR tickets are digitally signed so they cannot be forged.

The website uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and secure, and to remember your city. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

The Platform is not meant for children under 18 without a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect children's data without verifiable parental consent.
