Refund & Cancellation Policy

When you can get your money back, how long it takes, and what happens if an event is cancelled or changed.

Last updated 25 September 2026

1. Each event has its own refund policy

The Organizer chooses one of these policies, and it is shown on the event page and at checkout before you pay:

  • No refunds: tickets cannot be cancelled by the buyer.
  • Refundable until N days before: you can cancel from My Tickets up to the number of days shown before the event starts.
  • Organizer decides: you can request a refund and the Organizer approves or declines it.

Organizers can make their policy more generous after tickets are sold, never stricter.

2. How to request a refund

  • Open My Tickets, choose the ticket and tap Request refund. You can request per ticket, so a group booking can be partly refunded.
  • You will get an update by email and in the app when the refund is approved, sent or declined.
  • Checked-in tickets cannot be refunded.

3. If the event is cancelled

If an Organizer (or we) cancel an event, every ticket holder is notified and the full ticket price is refunded automatically, whatever the event's refund policy. You do not need to do anything.

4. If the event changes

If the date, time or venue changes significantly, ticket holders are notified and your tickets stay valid. If you can no longer attend, contact support within 7 days of the change notice and we will work with the Organizer on a refund.

5. How and when you are refunded

  • Online payments (card, UPI, net banking, wallets): refunded to the original payment method. Banks usually credit it within 5–7 working days after the refund is processed.
  • Direct UPI payments to the Organizer: the Organizer sends the refund from their own account, usually within 5 working days, and marks it as sent with a reference number you can see.
  • Free tickets are simply cancelled.

Refunds cover the ticket price. The platform fee and GST on it, where charged, are not refundable except when an event is cancelled and the law requires it.

6. Failed or duplicate payments

If money was deducted but you did not get a ticket, the payment is refunded automatically, usually within 5–7 working days. If it has not arrived, contact support with your order ID or payment reference.

7. Disputes

If an Organizer does not honour their policy or a refund is late, contact EEvento support. We will step in, and can process the refund ourselves for online payments.
