My path wasn't a straight line. I studied mechanical engineering, trained in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and worked as a production supervisor and quality engineer. I prepared for government exams, then Covid reset everything. I started again in sales, business development and US IT recruitment, trained in full-stack development at NxtWave, and spent the next few years as a React and MERN developer at HOD Solutions, GETRAISE and iWashhub. Kanpix was where all of that came together: technology, growth and people, under one roof.
At Kanpix we build for other businesses. That work taught me how companies actually sell, and it made me want to build a product of our own. Events kept coming up. Every weekend there are gigs, open mics, workshops and college fests happening in cities like Kanpur. Finding them still means scrolling Instagram stories and forwarded WhatsApp posters.
Organizers have it harder. Many run everything on spreadsheets, UPI screenshots and a paper list at the gate. The big ticketing platforms are built for stadium tours in the metros. For someone hosting an 80-person comedy night, they're often too expensive and put someone else's brand on the event.
EEvento is my answer: easy discovery for people, and a real toolkit for the people who make a city fun.
Organizers keep their own brand, get paid directly by UPI, pay no platform fee while we launch, and check guests in with QR tickets that scan even when the venue's network drops. And because so many celebrations in India happen around a restaurant table, we added Gatherings: tell us your guests and budget, and restaurants send you offers.
The values are the same ones Kanpix runs on: build from where you are, keep the team calm and close, and make sure good work isn't reserved for people with a metro-city address.
